Meta Ads or Google Ads? Which one is right for your local business

It is not a contest between platforms. Meta Ads and Google Ads do different jobs, and most local businesses grow faster once they understand which one to use at each stage.

The difference in one sentence

Google Ads answers a need that already exists: the person is searching for "dentist in Maracaibo" or "airport taxi". Meta Ads creates the need or the memory: the person was not looking for anything, but sees your reel on Instagram and saves you for later.

How to split the budget

If your budget is small, start with the platform that matches how customers find you: if they search on Google, start there; if they discover you on social media, start with Meta. Once that first campaign brings leads at a reasonable cost, add the second one to cover both stages: discovery and search.

A practical rule is to test for one month with small amounts on each campaign, compare the cost per real lead (message, call or form) and move spend to the one that performs best.

What you should always measure

Without that measurement any platform looks expensive. With it you know exactly where every dollar performs. At Impulsa 360 we manage Meta Ads and Google Ads, plus custom TikTok, ChatGPT and Yummy Ads campaigns, with a report every month.
